Campaign for 2020 to Leave No Stone Unturned
You can leave camp...but camp never leaves you! In 2020, Camp Notre Dame will celebrate its 60th anniversary! To mark the occasion, we set our sights on the campers of the future by committing ourselves to leaving no stone unturned to give our campers the very best.
"CARE Garden" - $25,000
The CARE Garden will feature a new bell tower and provide a beautiful entrance to the campfire circle. You can commemorate your CND experience and help build Camp's new CARE Garden by purchasing a customized Celebration Stone. These Celebration Stones give you the chance to make your great experiences at Camp Notre Dame a lasting gift to the campers of tomorrow. To add your memories to the CARE Garden, please order online now or print an order form and return it along with payment to the CND office.

Cabin Renovations - $75,000
- New flooring
- Screen doors to keep the campers in and the mosquitos out!
- Improved ventilation
- Privacy curtains between counselor and camper areas
- LED lighting to brighten the cabins and be responsible stewards of God's creation
- Interior paint
Founders Endowment Funds - $75,000
The Msgr. Lawrence T. Speice Scholarship Fund - $25,000
Fr. Larry was a founding counselor at CND in 1960 and continued to be an integral part of Camp until his death in 2012. The Msgr. Lawrence T. Speice Scholarship Fund was established in Fr. Larry's memory and provides scholarships for campers in financial need.
The Joe Haas and Joe McCallion Building and Grounds Fund - $25,000
Joe Hass worked tirelessly as a volunteer for over 20 years and was especially devoted to Camp's swimming pool. Joe McCallion volunteered for 57 years to keep the Camp's buildings and grounds safe and beautiful for our campers. The Joe Haas and Joe McCallion Building and Grounds Fund has been established in their memory to provide for the long-term needs of Camp's grounds and facilities.
The Paul F. Speice Program Fund - $25,000
Paul Speice was a founding part of Camp Notre Dame and retired as Camp Manager in 1999. He continued to be one of CND's most dedicated volunteers until his passing in 2018. As an active member of the Board of Directors and chair of the Program Committee, Paul's experience with nature and God's creatures continues to have an enduring impact on Camp's programs. The Paul F. Speice Program Fund has been established in Paul's honor to support and enhance the Camp Notre Dame program.
